Series of Activities Highlighting Women’s Safety as a Human Right
“Nov 25, 2025: OCPD launched the ’16 Days of Activism Against Digital Violence’ in Port Sudan. Beyond the launch, the organization conducted a series of awareness activities throughout the campaign.”

Date: November 25, 2025
Believing that digital spaces must be safe for everyone, One Community for Peace and Development (OCPD) participated in the launch of the “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” campaign, which focused this year specifically on Combating Digital Violence. The event took place in Port Sudan (Al-Iskan area).
A Clear Message Our participation was driven by a firm principle: “Violence against women and girls is a fundamental human rights issue.” The launch highlighted the dangers of cyber-blackmail and digital threats facing women, especially in the current context.
Extended Activities OCPD’s engagement went beyond the opening ceremony. Throughout the 16-day campaign, we implemented a comprehensive program of additional activities, including:
- Awareness sessions on digital safety in shelter centers.
- Community discussion circles to address harmful misconceptions.
- Dissemination of educational materials to promote a culture of digital security among women and girls.
We reaffirm our commitment to working not just for 16 days, but year-round, to ensure a safe and dignified environment for all Sudanese women and girls.
