International Partnership with “Music for Peace” Supporting 499 Families

In response to the pressing economic and humanitarian situation in Port Sudan, One Community for Peace and Development (OCPD), in collaboration with the Italian organization Music for Peace and Development and local partners, executed a major emergency food distribution campaign on May 10, 2025.
Key Figures & Impact Targeting “Food Security” gaps, the intervention involved the distribution of 1,170 complete food baskets. The operation covered four main centers:
- Al-Zaeem Al-Azhari Basic School.
- The Old Locality (Al-Mahaliya Al-Qadima).
- Artists Union.
- Sheikh Mustafa Al-Amin School.
Target Groups & Fair Distribution The project directly benefited 499 families. Priority was given to vulnerable groups, reaching 249 children under five and 337 children (aged 6–17). To ensure transparency and fairness, distribution followed strict criteria based on family size, ensuring equitable support for all beneficiaries.
