Chairing the “Mutual Aid” Session and Hosting an Exhibition in Port Sudan

One Community for Peace and Development (OCPD) successfully participated in the HX Conference held in Port Sudan (September 23-24, 2025), under the theme: “Locally Led Humanitarian Response in Sudan: Strengthening Response through Collaboration and Innovation.”
Leading the Discussion Playing a pivotal role, Mr. Mahdi Ishag, OCPD’s Health Officer, chaired a key session titled: “The Role of Mutual Aid in Crisis Response in Sudan: From Emergency to Early Recovery.” The session explored mechanisms to strengthen community collaboration and transition local initiatives from emergency response to sustainable recovery.
OCPD Exhibition Stand Alongside the sessions, OCPD hosted a dedicated Exhibition Booth. The stand served as an interactive platform to showcase our field interventions and humanitarian projects. It allowed us to engage with partners and visitors, sharing our on-the-ground experiences and success stories.
The conference was a vital opportunity to unify efforts and develop innovative solutions to enhance relief operations across Sudan.
