A Humanitarian Journey: OCPD Conducts Field Assessment in Port Sudan with UNHCR
“March 9-11, 2025: OCPD team conducted a field assessment in Port Sudan (Korea South & Musa Jabir centers) under UNHCR supervision, aiming to identify the essential needs of displaced persons.”

Date: March 11, 2025
In days filled with hope amid hardship, the team from One Community for Peace and Development (OCPD) embarked on a humanitarian mission in Port Sudan, conducting a field assessment of displaced persons’ needs from March 9 to 11, 2025.
Coordination with UNHCR This initiative was carried out under the supervision and coordination of the UNHCR, and in collaboration with humanitarian partners. The assessment targeted two key shelters:
- Korea South Center.
- Musa Jabir Center.
The mission aimed to identify essential needs, understand the daily challenges faced by the displaced, and contribute to shaping more effective humanitarian assistance.
A Deeply Human Encounter It was more than just a field survey; it was a deeply human encounter. Our team witnessed the resilience and strength in the eyes of those who continue to endure despite the harsh circumstances.
Our Commitment We believe that humanitarian work begins with listening and getting closer to reality. OCPD remains committed to supporting displaced communities, amplifying their voices, and working towards sustainable solutions to improve their living conditions.
Together, we make a difference.
