One Community Organization for Peace & Development

Who We Are

The One Community Organization for Peace and
Development (OCPD) was established in 2023 as a
non-profit, non-governmental organization in
Khartoum State, and is registered with the
Humanitarian Aid Commission as a national
organization. The organization currently operates in
conflict-affected areas of Sudan through its offices in
West Darfur and East Darfur, in addition to their main
office in Port Sudan and another office in Kampala,
Uganda.
OCPD strives to promote peace, empower
communities, build capacities, and drive sustainable
development. Additionally, the organization works in
the field of civilian protection and human rights,
addressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups,
including women, children, and persons with
disabilities

Our Vision

To build a society where peace and solidarity prevail, characterized by social justice, comprehensive development, and a deep sense of national unity.

Our Mission

We are committed to strengthening social cohesion by empowering individuals and implementing sustainable development initiatives. Our mission is to spread a culture of peace and understanding, ensuring that every member of society—especially the most vulnerable—can participate in building a harmonious future.

Our Beneficiaries

Youth and Women

We strive to empower youth and women to be a driving force for positive change, and we promote their participation in leadership and decision-making.

Children and Impoverished Families

We aim to protect children’s rights and ensure their access to education, healthcare, and psychological support. We adopt projects to support poor families.

Affected Communities and Disaster Victims

We work to support victims of disasters and wars, improve healthcare, and facilitate access to humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts.

Our Core Values

Commitment to Human Rights

We believe that human dignity is non-negotiable. We strictly adhere to international human rights standards and conventions in all our activities. Our operations are guided by the ethics of voluntary work, ensuring the protection and dignity of vulnerable groups while delivering aid and building peace.

Respect for Diversity & Tolerance

We view diversity as a source of strength. OCPD adopts a strict non-discrimination policy, fostering a culture of tolerance and acceptance. We respect all cultural, social, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, striving to include everyone in the development process without exception.

Justice & Equality

Justice is the fundamental pillar of lasting peace. We strive to achieve equality in rights and equal opportunities for all community members. We focus specifically on ensuring that marginalized and deprived groups have equal access to resources, education, and healthcare opportunities.

Transparency & Integrity

As an independent organization, our credibility is our greatest asset. We operate with honesty and uphold the highest standards of financial and administrative transparency with our partners and the communities we serve. We ensure that every contribution reaches those in need with efficiency and integrity.

Teamwork & Participation

Sustainable change can only be achieved through collective effort. We foster values of teamwork and encourage active community participation. We do not impose solutions; instead, we involve local communities in planning and implementation, making them true partners in shaping their future.
