On this International Women’s Day, One Community for Peace and Development honors Sudanese women facing one of the most difficult crises in their history. Amid displacement, loss, and insecurity, Sudanese women have remained the cornerstone of resilience, bearing the burdens of conflict and standing tall despite immense hardship.
Believing that women’s empowerment is fundamental to rebuilding war-affected communities, One Community for Peace and Development is implementing projects that strengthen their resilience. These include economic empowerment programs to support displaced women through vocational training and small businesses, psychological and social support initiatives for women affected by violence and displacement, and awareness campaigns on women’s rights to combat violence and enhance their role in peacebuilding.
At One Community for Peace and Development, we reaffirm our commitment to continuous efforts in supporting Sudanese women in their struggle for a dignified life and a secure future. Peace cannot be achieved without their participation, and development cannot be complete without empowerment.
